This year’s Fire Up The Night international firework competition will return to Coney Island on September 23 for an epic battle between Portugal, Greece, and Japan.
Each team is a past winner of the competition with Portugal winning in 2013, Japan in 2014, and Greece in 2016.
Fire up the Night is the only international fireworks competition in the United States.
Gates will open at 4 p.m. with the fireworks competition starting at 8 p.m.
Following the international competition, Cincinnati’s Rozzi Famous Fireworks will treat visitors to a thundering finale.
The $25 admission fee includes parking, Coney’s rides and attractions, entry to the world’s largest “empty-pool” party and live stage entertainment.
