LOVELAND, OH (FOX 19) -

Tano's Bistro and Catering is starting to rebuild after a massive fire roared through downtown Loveland more than two months ago, destroying the restaurant and damaging several other buildings.

More demolition work needs to be completed, but construction is expected to begin soon on the $2 million project, said business owner Tano Williams.

His big plans for the restaurant include a rooftop bar.

"We want to have fun with it," he said.

Williams credits the Loveland community for an outpouring of support that fuels his desire to rebuild.

Williams said he hopes to reopen by the first anniversary of the three-alarm May 28 blaze that displaced five residents and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages to several buildings. Crews reported flames shooting as high as 30 feet into the air.

The fire started in the rear ceiling of his building and caused the collapse of the restaurants's second floor.

The interior was completely destroyed.

The cause was ruled electrical.
