MOUNT HEALTHY, OH (FOX19) - Mount Healthy police issued a warning Tuesday that someone is shooting at people with a BB or pellet gun.
"Several individuals in several jurisdictions were shot by a BB or pellet rifle yesterday," Police announced in a Facebook post Tuesday.
All victims describe the shot as being fired from a white work van, possibly a Chevrolet or GMC missing a rear hub cap.
The suspect is described as a white male 20-30 years of age with a faded haircut.
Anyone with information is asked to call Mt. Healthy Police 728-3182 or Crime Stoppers 352-3040.
Police have not said if anyone was hurt.
Green Township police are investigating two reports from motorists saying they were shot at and their vehicles were hit with what they believe are bullets from firearms.
No bullets have been recovered, said Lt. Mitch Hill.
But one of the incidents, which occurred on July 22 but was just reported Monday, is believed to involve a bullet, he said.
"The first one did go in the car and we do believe that one is a bullet," he said.
The other case remains unclear, he said.
"We know something hit the windshield and broke it and bounced off. But it didn't penetrate the glass," the lieutenant said.
So far, Green Township police say they have no reports of BB or pellet gun attacks in their community and they do not think the Mt. Healthy cases are connected.
