AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police are investigating two shootings in two neighborhoods early Thursday.

The shootings are not connected, they said.

Officers were called to a report of a man shot at close range on Forest near Washington avenues in Avondale at 4:14 a.m.

A caller told 911 dispatchers the shooter and victim ran down the street, and the shooting suspect had braided hair.

As officers responded, they received a report of a man found shot in both legs nearby on Bogart Avenue.

Officers found the shooting victim at the Bogart Avenue location and secured both scenes so they collect evidence at both, police confirmed.

Police later corrected that, saying the victim drove himself to University of Cincinnati Medical Center at 4:20 a.m.

The man has non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Earlier, police also responded to a shooting in Millvale.

First responders were called to the 1900 block of Westwood Northern Boulevard just after 2 a.m., police confirmed.

The victim was found laying in the street when they arrived, police said.

He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, they confirmed.

Their investigation concluded the man was shot inside a unit at Shelton Gardens Apartments in the 2000 block of Westwood Northern Boulevard and then he crawled into the hallway and outside, leaving a blood trail, they confirmed.

Our crew at the scene observed police towing a vehicle as they investigated.

Then, just before 5 a.m., more police arrived and took a person away in the back of a cruiser.

It was not immediately clear if that person was under arrest or being taken in for questioning.

Police ordered our crew off the apartment complex property.
