$2 million bond for man accused of killing ex-girlfriend

BROWN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

Bond was set at $2 million Friday for a Brown County man accused of gunning down his ex-girlfriend.

John R. Crum, 83, is held at the county jail on one count each of aggravated murder and murder in the shooting death of Marsha Thigpen, 62, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities arrested Crum after Thigpen's body was found next to her pickup truck on Wednesday in the 5900 block of Ripley-Day Hill Road.

She died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities have not released a motive.
