The father accused of causing the drug overdose death of his 1-year-old son was arrested overnight.

Dorrico Dewaun Brown, 33, is held without bond at the Butler County Jail on felony charges of involuntary manslaughter and child endangering.

He was booked in about 8 p.m Wednesday, jail officials said.

Brown was indicted Wednesday, the same day a report from the county coroner's office shows his son, Dorrico Dawaun Brown Jr., died due to toxicity of a combination of drugs, including oxycodone.

Officials said the 1-year-old's father reportedly found the child not breathing and lying on a bed May 17.

He called 911. The toddler was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital ,where he was pronounced dead.

"My son is just freezing cold and I don't think he's even breathing," Brown told an emergency dispatcher, according to a recording of the call released Wednesday.

"He was taking a nap and I came in here and he's just cold."

The dispatcher advised the father how to try to resuscitate his son until first responders arrived.
