The traffic nightmare is almost over.
Brent Spence lane closures that have led to miles-long backups, lengthy delays and frustrated motorists most of the summer are ending.
All four lanes on the upper deck of the bridge reopened ahead of schedule about 7 p.m. Sunday.
The northbound I-71/75 lanes on the lower deck of the bridge will remain closed most of this week before reopening at 5 a.m. Friday.

Transportation officials began closing lanes on both decks of the bridge that carries vehicles across the Ohio River between Ohio and Kentucky back in June as part of a maintenance project.
