Local vigil tonight to honor Charlottesville victims

HAMILTON, OH -

Several Butler County organizations will gather for a community candlelight vigil to honor the Charlottesville victims.

Heather Heyer was killed and 19 others were hurt last week when officials said James Alex Fields, 20, drove his car into a crowd of people counter-protesting a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Butler County Democratic Party Headquarters at 224 Park Avenue in Hamilton.

Local elected officials and faith leaders will be speaking at the vigil.
