CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Bengals safety Shawn Williams is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, according to the team's web-site.
Williams, who started 15 games last season and is one of the Bengals' starting safeties this season, landed on his right elbow during the Bengals pre-season game against the Chiefs and dislocated the joint.
Williams stayed on the ground for several minutes and left on a cart.
"Definitely a setback for however long he's out because he's a key part of our defense," said fellow Bengals' safety George Iloka. "I saw him and told him to try to find some positive in it and it (isn't) anything you can't come back from."
The Bengals continue pre-season play next Sunday with a game against the Washington Redskins.
