Maisonnette Closes

A sudden move Monday from a 56-year fixture in downtown Cincinnati.

Cincinnati's only five-star restaurant -- the most honored restaurant anywhere in America closed its doors Monday. The Maisonnette had planned to stay open downtown, despite declining business.

While it made a move to Sycamore township. However, zoning problems up there tapped the restaurant's budget. So for now about 90 employees are out of a job.

The Maisonette does still hope to open in the Kenwood area in the fall of 2006.
