CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Cincinnati man will spend nearly two decades in prison for dealing fentanyl and heroin that resulted in at least one death.

Omar Israel-Griffin, 27, also known as Deuce, was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court to more than 19.5 years behind bars.

An investigation began following a drug overdose death on November 19, 2015, in Anderson Township.

Officials found that drugs sold by Israel-Griffin caused the death of Ethan Blair.

Israel-Griffin pleaded guilty in April 2017 to one count of distribution of a controlled substance.

"Dealers must recognize that they perpetuate tragedy when they distribute narcotics like fentanyl and heroin," U.S. Attorney Glassman said. "They are playing a direct role in the deaths of others."
