EAST END (FOX19) - A plane carrying much-needed supplies departed Lunken Airport for hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico on Monday morning.

Many on the island devastated by the Category 4 hurricane that hit last month are still without power, clean water, medicine and sufficient food supplies.

Matthew 25: Ministries of Blue Ash sent three large containers filled with basic necessities, safety and sanitation supplies as well as bottled water, tarps and blankets.

The disaster response team will also be flying to the Caribbean to set up health clinics and to provide medical care for Puerto Ricans.

Matthew 25 is planning on sending six more containers over the next several weeks.

It's been a busy time for the charity, as it continues to provide aid to areas hit by Hurricanes Harvey, Maria and Irma.
