Man arrested after fatal stabbing in Oakley

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

An arrest has been made in the deadly stabbing near a busy Oakley intersection Thursday. 

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Isabella near Markbreit, close to the Goodwill.

Several hours after the crime, police announced Raymar Cooper, 42, had been charged with murder in the death of  Wesley McCants, 64. 

Responding officers found McCants suffering from a stab wound in the 3900 block of Isabella Avenue. He died at the hospital, police said.

It's not clear what led up to the stabbing or if the suspect and victim knew each other. 

Police had been searching for a black Volkswagen Jetta after the stabbing. The vehicle's role in the crime is not known.
