We may be able to see Uranus with a naked eye Thursday night

Earth will swing between the sun and Uranus on this week, according to EarthSky.org.

What does that mean? It means stargazers might be able to see Uranus with their naked eye Thursday night.

Here's what NASA recently said in a blog post:

Uranus reach opposition on October 19th. It's visible all night long and its blue-green color is unmistakeable. It may be bright enough to see with your naked eye--and for sure in binoculars.

National Geographic suggests looking to the southeast, keeping a careful eye for the fish constellation Pisces -- scan for a blue-green disc.

You can read more about the Uranus opposition at EarthSky.org.
