J.T. Barrett connected with Marcus Baugh for a go-ahead touchdown with 1:48 left as Ohio State overcame a 15 point fourth quarter deficit to beat Penn State in Columbus.
Barrett completed all 13 of his pass attempts in the final quarter and threw three touchdowns as Ohio State overcame a game full of mistakes to vault themselves back into the college football playoff conversation.
Barrett finished with more than 400 total yards and four touchdown passes and played arguably the best game of his career at Ohio State.
The Buckeyes improve to 7-1 on the season and are expected to vault above second-ranked Penn State and fourth-ranked TCU (who lost to Iowa State) when Sunday’s new top 25 is released.
