Man killed, 2 hurt in head-on crash

STONELICK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A 36-year-old driver was killed and two other men were hurt in a head-on crash in Clermont County overnight, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol

Troopers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 at Rosewood Drive just before midnight Tuesday.

They said a westbound, black 2002 Ford Escape went left of center and hit an oncoming, eastbound silver 2008 Toyota Matrix.

The driver of the Toyota, Jack Hughes of Owensville, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

His passenger, Robert Gamble, 35, of Owensville, was flown via Air Care to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries.

The other driver, Tyler Eccard, 24, of Leesburg,went to Clermont Mercy Hospital in an ambulance with minor injuries, troopers said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
