SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH (FOX19) - A motorist is in police custody and faces an OVI charge after a rollover crash in a residential neighborhood overnight, Springfield Township police said.
Officers were called to a three-vehicle crash in the 8300 block of Roland Avenue just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
When the arrived, they said they found a Honda sport utility vehicle on its top and two other cars with damage from the collision.
The 40-year-old driver of the SUV crawled out of the wreckage on his own and was not hurt, police said.
He was taken into custody and faces an OVI charge, they said.
A preliminary investigation has determined he was suspected to be intoxicated and speeding when his SUV ran left of center. It side-swiped a red sedan ad hit a silver SUV nearly head-on, causing his vehicle to flip in front of a home.
The road was shut down for several hours overnight while police investigated. It has since reopened, according to Hamilton County dispatchers.
