CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati police responded to a fatal hit-skip crash Tuesday morning.

It happened around 6:50 a.m. on the 3600 block of Warsaw Avenue.

Police say Federico Ventura, 45, was walking across Warsaw on his way toward a Kroger parking lot. They said he was struck by a black sedan, which continued west without stopping.

A white Kia Sedona then struck Ventura while he was still on the ground, according to authorities. They said Ventura was dragged underneath the Sedona. The Sedona struck several other vehicles before coming to a stop on McPherson Avenue.

Authorities do not believe the second driver knew he'd struck Ventura.

Firefighters removed Ventura, who was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with critical injuries. He later died at the hospital.

Witnesses to this crash are asked to call 513-352-2514.
