Recipe: Ham & Cheese Sammies

What you'll need:

1 package dinner rolls (12 count)

1 lb Swiss cheese, sliced thin/medium

½ lb ham, sliced thin (if you like more ham, use 1 lb.)

Sammie sauce:

½ cup butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 Tablespoons mustard

2 Tablespoons poppy seeds

Cut through dinner rolls lengthwise (I like using the electric knife). Do not pull rolls apart individually.

Place bottom half of the rolls in a 13"x 9" pan. Layer cheese then ham and then cheese again on bottom half.

Combine first 4 sauce ingredients and boil 2 minutes.

Take off heat and add poppy seeds to sauce mixture.

Using approximately 1 Tablespoon of the sauce, spread over top layer of cheese, then cover sandwiches with the top half of the rolls.

Pour remaining sauce over the top of the rolls and baked covered with foil for 20-30 minutes.

* Lee Ann's Tip: I like to get the large size foil and spray it with cooking spray and wrap the sammies all the way around in the 13"x 9" pan. This allows the sauce to soak into the sandwiches and they lift out of the pan easier. Cut sandwiches with electric knife.
