HIGHLAND COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A backhoe is expected to be removed from a creek in Highland County this week, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
A woman that took a photo of the backhoe reached out to FOX19 NOW on Facebook. She says the photo was taken near a bridge on State Route 28 in the village of East Monroe. She said the bridge has been out for months.
ODOT officials said the bridge construction is about 30 days behind because of recent rainfall in the area. According to ODOT, the bridge should be completed by the end of November.
Department officials said the backhoe belongs to a Columbus construction company called Shelly and Sands.
