CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Mercy Health and FC Cincinnati have formally announced a partnership in support of the club's bid to join Major League Soccer.

The team says the partnership would represent an MLS jersey sponsorship commitment on par with Atlanta United’s deal with American Family Insurance.

FC Cincinnati will find out in December if it is one of the next two teams to be given a spot in the MLS.

A mockup of the jersey features Mercy Health’s logo on the chest with a diamond pattern and MLS crest. The jersey is for illustration purposes, and does not represent an official MLS or USL jersey. It is not available for purchase.

FC Cincinnati joined the United Soccer League in 2016.

Mercy Health, formerly Catholic Health Partners, is a Catholic health ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky.
