CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Senior Trevon Bluiett scored 10 of the last 14 points for No. 15 Xavier in a 80-70 road win Thursday at Wisconsin.
In a revenge game for the Musketeers -- after losing to the Badgers in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2016 -- Xavier showed a killer instinct with the game on the line. Bluiett, who had just 4 points in the first half, broke a 66-all tie with under three minutes to play knocking down back-to-back three-pointers en route to his game-high 25 points. He also had 9 rebounds.
Fellow senior J.P. Macura added 20 points and 8 rebounds. Kaiser Gates and Tyrique Jones each scored 11 points in the win.
Xavier returns home on Monday to host Hampton for an 8:30 p.m. tip off at the Cintas Center.
