SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) – - Two suspects are facing charges after a 24-year-old man was abducted at gunpoint from his Sycamore Township apartment Friday.
Nathaniel Potter, 26, and Roman Potter, 23, are charged with kidnapping, abduction, extortion and aggravated robbery.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said the incident started at an apartment complex on Kugler Road around 2:45 p.m.
One suspect knocked on the victim's door and told him his car was illegally parked. The pair then abducted the victim at gunpoint when he went to move his Ford Mustang from the parking lot.
Friends and family received "numerous demands for money or drugs from the abductors," the sheriff's office said.
By 11 p.m., investigators tracked the victim's stolen vehicle to the 3300 block of Wunder Avenue in Westwood. They found the victim in the back seat of the car bound with duct tape and his head covered with a hood.
Nathaniel and Roman Potter were taken into custody and positively identified as the abductors, authorities said.
Investigators believe this was not a random act of violence and that the victim was specifically targeted by the suspects.
This investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Section at (513) 851-6000 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
