Girl power is on display at Loveland City Schools. The district got a special grant from an area nonprofit allowing it to decorate the girls bathrooms with words of praise and encouragement.
Being a student can be stressful, especially if you're a young girl. But at Loveland Intermediate, the teachers are putting special inspirational messages on the walls for the kids.
Some of the key words? Amazing. Brave. Strong.
"A lot of boys like to pick on girls, but sometimes girls can be stronger than boys," said one student.
"I think it's kind of amazing," said another. "I think it's kind of nice when you walk in there to wash your hands you walk away feeling nice and good with a nice encouraging message."
Loveland-based nonprofit Just Because Grants awarded the money that made the artwork possible. The monthly $1,000 grants are available exclusively to teachers in the district.
