Police: Kidnapping suspect tased victim, doused him in lighter fluid

ROSELAWN, OH (FOX19) - Three people are accused of kidnapping a man during a drug deal in Roselawn.

Police were called to Summit Road, near Reading, early Friday morning.

Officials said the victim contacted Khary Young, 40, to purchase drugs. The pair, along with a woman and another unknown man, went to an apartment on Summit Road where they used drugs.

"When the victim failed to pay for his drugs he was doused with lighter fluid and assaulted by Mr. Young and the unknown suspect with a wooden table leg, metal rod and taser," said Cincinnati Police.

Young and the woman, Teasa Burkhart, 31, allegedly then forced the victim into his car and drove him to the Thornton's  on Princeton Pike, in an attempt to get money from the his checking account using an ATM.

The victim was able to call 911 and both suspects were arrested at the scene.

Young is charged with felonious assault and kidnapping. Burkhart is charged with kidnapping.

Police are still working to identify the third man involved.
