CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A Cincinnati-area animal clinic is offering free spay or neuter surgeries to cats for free.
UCAN says a grant from the Joanie Bernard Foundation allowed the nonprofit to perform the surgeries for free until Sept. 30, 2018.
The rabies and FVRCP vaccines will also be free of charge.
Spay/neuter is the first step to solve the cat overpopulation problem and keep cats from ending up in kill shelters, according to UCAN.
UCAN offers free monthly transports to the clinic from Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, and Pendleton counties. See the transport schedule here.
