CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The heartbreaking loss of the 6-year old boy whose battle against cancer touched the community has now been made more painful by a possible scammer.

Walter "Superbubz" Herbert passed away in October after fighting a two-year battle against neuroblastoma, one of the more common forms of childhood cancer.

His family said someone has been stealing his pictures and putting them on Instagram, pretending he is their child.

"My wife got me up this morning and showed me my favorite picture of me in him being used by somebody else to garner some notoriety and probably some money. It's disgusting," said Superbubz's father, Wally Herbert.

An account named "Ocean Kennedy" has been stealing the pictures of Superbubz.

The person behind it claims to be a mother to an amazing surfing/skating boy who is battling a brain tumor and bone cancer.

The account was set up in the United Kingdom.

"We definitely heard of instances of people using cancer or saying they had cancer and they did it to get money... that's disgusting, but this takes it to a whole new level," Herbert said.

Superbubz's dad has a message for the person behind "Ocean Kennedy," which was made private just earlier Monday.

"This was incredibly wrong. This was our son. This wasn't a money making opportunity for you," Wally Herbert said.

This comes as Herbert family just marked their first Thanksgiving and face Christmas in the coming weeks since Superbubz died.
