Alcohol and speed are to blame for a crash that critically hurt a man and a woman in Northern Kentucky early Wednesday, authorities said.
The two were trapped when their vehicle crashed into a building and overturned on Old Lexington Pike in Walton about 2:45 a.m., according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
Fire crews extricated the two and they were airlifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life threatening injuries, they said.
The road is shut down in the area until further notice.
