MILFORD, OH (FOX19) - Milford Police have identified a man they said is responsible for stealing an elderly woman's purse at the gas pump in December.
Police said Charles Bradley Chandler Jr., 52, left his fingerprints behind on the victims door handle after he snuck into her passenger door and stole her purse while she pumped gas at the Main Street Kroger location in Milford.
"Unfortunately he's a bad individual," Milford Police Detective Russ Kenney said. "…he's not a murderer or kidnapper but he is someone who does prey off of individuals and does commit a theft."
Milford will file for a warrant for Chandler Jr. in Clermont County but the Kentucky native is already wanted for crimes at other departments in the Tri-State.
A detective with the Evendale Police Department filed a warrant for Chandler's arrest in August of 2017 after the 52-year-old allegedly stole from visitors at the Rest Haven Cemetery. Court documents state Chandler went into his female victims cars while they were inside the mausoleum or away from their vehicle.
Detective Kenney told FOX19 NOW the department will be able to link Chandler to the crime because of a fingerprint they pulled from the victims passenger door.
"I sent the fingerprints down to Cincinnati, they were able to confirm that the fingerprint that I had removed from the vehicle was indeed my suspect of interest," Detective Kenney said.
Police also believe the 2011-2014 Dark Blue Hyundai Sonata Chandler seen driving in the video may be stolen and carrying fictitious Kentucky tags.
Anyone with information on Charles Bradley Chandler Jr.'s whereabouts is asked to contact their local police department or call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
