FT. WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) - One woman was arrested after a prostitution bust at a massage parlor in Ft. Wright on Thursday.
Ft. Wright police and the Northern Kentucky Drug Task force arrested Yujie Nmi Yang, 54, inside the Deep Ocean Massage Parlor along Valley Plaza near Walmart.
Law enforcement left a sign for returning customers which reads, "Prostitution is no longer sold at this business. Courtesy of the Northern Kentucky Drug Task Force."
Police said they have been investigating the massage parlor for a few months after several complaints had come in about the traffic at that location.
Police also spotted an ad on a sexually explicit website, which they said raised an eye brow or two. When they busted in the business Thursday afternoon, they said there were two women inside along with two massage tables.
"The original rumors were all kinds of things. Potential drugs, human trafficking, sex trafficking, prostitution. Thankfully almost all of that turned out not to be true. But I am glad they took it seriously because I can't think of to many crimes worse than sex trafficking and human trafficking. I am glad they looked into this and partnered up with the strike force and took care of this," Mayor Dave Hatter said.
Yang is being held at the Kenton County Detention Center on one charge of prostitution.
