U.S. 27 reopened, downed wires cleared

COLD SPRING, KY (FOX19) - Kentucky transportation officials have reopened U.S. 27 in Northern Kentucky.

The heavily traveled road, also known as Alexandria Pike, was blocked while crews worked to get a traffic signal back up and operating Wednesday morning and afternoon, said Nancy Wood, spokeswoman for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The closure began around 10 a.m. in Cold Springs and was reopened around Noon.
