State Police say they arrested a southern Indiana man Sunday morning after he allegedly abducted his 18 month old stepson, prompting an Amber Alert.
State Trooper Michael Schmitt says William Napier, 40, was arrested at a motel in the Spencer County town of Dale with his stepson, Dillon Levi Martin.
Schmitt, who works out of the Jasper state police post, says the child was unharmed.
State police issued an Amber Alert for the toddler this morning, nearly 12 hours after Napier allegedly took the boy, who was staying with Napier's sister at her home in Haubstadt about 12 miles north of Evansville.
Napier was transported back to Gibson County, where charges are expected to be filed against him tomorrow morning.
