Kid Closes Successful Charity Lemonade Stand

A four year old boy from Hyde Park has taken down his lemonade stand that raised more than $5,000 for victims of Hurricane Katrina in about eight days.

With help from his siblings and a cousin, Cameron Frueh gave out lemonade and bottled water outside his home in exchange for donations.

His mother Laurie Frueh says she was amazed by the way people responded. The largest single contribution was a check for $1,600.

She's now looking for a business to match the money collected, and the family also must decide which charity to give it all to.

Family members also are thinking about following up with a toy drive or holiday fundraiser for hurricane survivors.
