Man Sentenced For Role In Double Homicide

A Fort Wayne man convicted of killing two people after his mask slipped during a robbery has been sentenced to 230 years in prison.

Edward Wallace, 28, didn't comment at his sentencing hearing Monday in Allen Superior Court in Indiana.

Defense attorney Mitch Hicks says his client plans to appeal.

A jury convicted Wallace last month in the 2003 deaths of Tessa Likens, 18, and Jorge Delacruz, 25.

An accomplice, Kristofferson Porter, 25, testified against Wallace and said the two broke into the home to steal drugs and cash.

Both wore masks, but Porter said Wallace became concerned the couple might be able to identify him when his mask slipped and exposed his face.

Porter was sentenced to 90 years in prison.
