WILLIAMSTOWN, KY (FOX19) - It's time to put on your running shoes for a brand-new event in Northern Kentucky.
St. Elizabeth is hosting a new triathlon in Williamstown on Saturday starting at 7:30 a.m. and 300 racers will take part.
The organization is putting out a call for volunteers and vendors for the event. Anyone interested in helping is asked to call 859-824-3322 or go to www.stelizabethtriathlon.com.
The event includes both a Sprint and Olympic-style race. The sprint involves racers competing in a 500 meter swim, a 20 kilometer bike ride, and a five kilometer run. The Olympic-style race features a 1,500 meter swim, a 40 kilometer bike ride, and a 10 kilometer run.
The event also includes a kids duathlon sponsored by Aetna. Entry fees for the kids duathlon is $10 and includes a T-shirt and a medal.
