Whistle blower Didn't Feel Threatened

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The state Transportation Cabinet employee who blew the whistle on acting cabinet Secretary Bill Nighbert says she does not believe he meant to threaten her.

Sarah Missy McCray doesn't believe Nighbert would have actually hit her in the mouth. McCray has said Nighbert told her on September 14th that had it been 20 years ago, he probably would have socked her in the mouth. Nighbert's lawyer says that was not a threat.

Nighbert was indicted by the Franklin County grand jury Tuesday on a charge of violating the Kentucky Whistleblower Act for allegedly retaliating against McCray. She's testified three times before the jury.
