Goetta Pinwheels

Geo's Goetta Pinwheels

(Serves 4 to 6 ~ 12 slices)

½ - ¾ pound of Glier's Goetta

4 Pillsbury Grands Butter Flavored Biscuits

Cut goetta into ¼ to ½ slices, and lightly brown on both sides, and then scramble the slices reducing the heat to low.

Continue heating while preparing the dough.

Take the four biscuits, and place them on a slightly oiled piece of wax paper.

Flatten each to approximately ¼ inch thickness, and overlap the edges so that you form a flattened piece of dough approximately 12 inches by 18 inches.

Spread the cooked goetta evenly across the entire surface of the dough leaving approximately a ¼ to ½ inch along all the edges.

Slowly roll the dough over the surface of the goetta forming the roll with the pinwheel effect of the two ingredients.

Using the same wax paper, roll the finished product completely covering the surface, and place it in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes.

This will allow the roll to become firm. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Remove from freezer, and slice into approximately 12 one-inch slices.

Lay each on the a cookie sheet approximately one-inch apart, and cook for approximately 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

May be served as is, or topped with salsa or other condiments.
