Man Accused Of Killing Wife And Step-daughters Arrested In Minnesota

ROCKVILLE, Ind. (AP) - The Parke County Sheriff says a man charged in the slayings of his wife and two stepdaughters in western Indiana has been arrested in Minnesota.

Sheriff Charles Bollinger says 35-year-old Chad Cottrell was apprehended today in Todd County in central Minnesota following a pursuit by local police there.

Earlier today, an arrest warrant was issued charging Cottrell with three counts of murder in the deaths of 29-year-old Trisha Cottrell and her two daughters - 12-year-old Brittany Williams and 10-year-old Victoria Williams.

Authorities also said today that a child survived the weekend attack at the house near Rockville. Investigators have released no details about the child, who was not harmed.

But officials say the child was inside the home for at least a few hours after the killings.
