University of Cincinnati men's assistant basketball coach Keith LeGree has resigned his position, effective immediately.
LeGree was stopped on a DUI charge on Saturday morning in Newport, Ky. He was arraigned this morning in Campbell County.
The Newport Police report says Legree was "found sleeping behind the steering wheel ... with his foot on the brake and the vehicle in drive" at the Cowens and Linden intersection. Police reports show that his breathalyzer test registered a .143.
LeGree had been a member of the UC coaching staff for the past five years. He was a point guard on the 1994-96 UC teams.
In March, LeGree had been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, but was acquitted by a Hamilton County Municipal Court jury. LeGree had been diagnosed with a sleeping disorder. He was reinstated to the staff in July.
The university's athletic department has a zero-tolerance policy for employees whose conduct is detrimental to the athletic department and the university.
