I have struggled with weight all my life. Until I got a "wake up" call from my Mom.
She called and said she had been diagnosed with diabetes and didn't know what to do. I got on-line with WebMD to print out some information for her, and also the American Diabetes Association.
When I got to thinking, wow, obesity-diabetes, they go hand in hand. I went upstairs, undressed, stood infront of a mirror, and I did not like what I saw. I also weighed myself...275lbs and a size 22w UGH!!!
Well, I went to the fridge and threw everything out that was bad for me and did the same with the pantry. The next day I went to the grocery store and restocked me kitchen with good for me foods.
I am happy to report that without depriving myself of anything, just making better choices, smaller portions and drinking more water I am now 150lbs LIGHTER and a size 4!! I did it while I was on crutches for 53 weeks so exercise was a challange! And my Mom who gave me this great "wake up" call is controlling her diabetes with diet, not medicine and she has lost 63lbs!
