A woman who, police say, was an innocent bystander in a shooting in Avondale has died from her injuries.

Police are looking for 19 year old Bryant Keese, whose last known address was 5937 Ridge Road in Cincinnati.

Forty eight year old Angela Grayson was standing near the corner of Burnet and Forest Avenue in front of a shopping center when shots rang out.  Witnesses say that the woman waits for a bus along the street every day and was in her daily routine when she was hit by the stray bullet.  She stumbled across Forest Avenue and collapsed in a yard across from the shopping center.

Police say that seven shots were fired and that a suspect ran down Alaska Avenue.

Rockdale Elementary was locked down while police looked for the suspect.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m.  A gray car was also reported to speed away from the scene.

The woman was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Mayor Mallory issues the following statement on the shooting in Avondale:

"My thoughts and prayers are with victim of today's tragic shooting and her family.

"There is no excuse for the violence that we are seeing in our community.  I want to thank the witnesses that have come forward so far and call on anyone else with information about this horrible incident to help as well.  The individuals responsible for this incident must be brought to justice for their actions."
