CINCINNATI (AP) - The University of Cincinnati kicks off a two-day celebration today of its 250 million-dollar campus upgrade.
Construction started six years ago on a corridor through the middle of campus dubbed MainStreet. The project was completed in February and includes a student union, recreation center and a building for student activities and organizations.
It was the largest building project in the school's 187-year history.
The festivities include an outdoor concert and free use of a new 40-foot climbing wall.
Next year full-time students will pay 147 dollars per term to help pay for it.
Crews have also almost finished a new 109 million-dollar complex of athletic facilities.
