Neighbors knew somthing was wrong this morning when they didn't see 92 year old Mary Hardy feeding her animals this morning.
According to their Harlan Township neighbors, Hardy and her daughter Helen usually feed their chickens everyday. When they went to check on Harding and smelled smoke, they alerted Warren County Fire officials who arrived at the scene.
The fire department forced their way into the Hardy's home and reported smelling smoke but did not see any evidence of a fire. Fire officials say that they found Mary unresponsive and her daughter Helen dead inside.
The elder Hardy was rushed to Bethesda North hospital where her condition is unknown. The coroner was on the scene to investigate.
