Reports from Pittsburgh say that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been injured in a motorcycle accident.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have confirmed that the Miami University graduate was injured when his motorcycle collided with a car in downtown Pittsburgh around 11:30 this morning.
Reports say that the 24-year-old hit a car sending him over the handlebars and smashing into the windshield before rolling over the back of the car.
The trauma chief at Pittsburgh's Mercy Hospital say that Roethlisberger is in serious but stable condition and is undergoing surgery for his injuries.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time.
