Girl Kidnapped, Held For Ransom Now Safe

A girl who was kidnapped and held for ransom is now safe.

Police say that the 17-year-old is in Children's Hospital undergoing examination for possible injury.

The girl was apparently kidnapped and being held for ransom at a house in the area of Lillian Drive and Portman Avenue.  Police found the girl in the basement bound by duct tape.

Apparently the girl's father had arranged to get his daughter back at a park in North College Hill where police were waiting.  Police then apparently chased the suspects car back to the home where the girl was being held.

Police have made several arrests in connection with the kidnapping.
