Police Investigate Reports Of Rape In Oxford

On this first day of classes at Miami University, police are asking students to be diligent while walking off campus.

Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a student early Monday morning.  Police have little details to go off of other than they are looking for a white male who weighs 180 pounds and is roughly 6 feet tall with shaggy brown hair.

Police say that the female student was walking home alone when she was attacked in the 300 block of North Popular

Several attacks last school year are opening old wounds.  Police are still investigating a rape that happened last year.  In the January attack, police say that a man entered the apartment of a female student through an unlocked door.

Police have matched the DNA from last year's attack to DNA from another rape in Connersville, Indiana.  The two towns are 30 miles apart.
