Indictment Announced In Christmas Eve Murder

A 19-year-old who is serving time in the state prison has been indicted by a Hamilton County grand jury for a Christmas Eve murder outside of a Roselawn club.

Quinn Edwards fired the shots that hit two innocent bystanders, according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters.

Nineteen-year-old Chanel Jordan was picking up her younger brother after the party at Club Legacy when she was hit by a bullet.   Jordan was taken to University Hospital where she later died.  Another person, a 16-year-old girl, was also hit.  She was treated and released.

Edwards has been charged with two counts of Murder with gun specifications, two counts of Attempted Murder and two counts of Felonious Assualt.

Edwards is currently serving a nine month sentence at the Madison Correctional Institution for a concealed weapons charge.

If he is convicted of all of the charges he faces life in prison.
