Nanna G's Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 GREEN BELL PEPPERS
  • 1-2 CUPS COOKED WHITE RICE
  • 1 CAN  ITALIAN STYLE TOMATO SAUCE
  • 1 LB. GROUND SIRLOIN( COOKED)
  • MOZERELLA CHEESE (TOPPING)

Directions:

BROWN GROUND SIRLOIN AND DRAIN EXCESS FAT.

ADD COOKED RICE.

ADD 1/2 OF TOMATO SAUCE TO MIXTURE: LET SIMMER 1-2 MINUTES.

MEANWHILE, CUT TOPS OFF PEPPERS AND REMOVE ALL SEEDS. PLACE PEPPERS IN A MICROWAVEABLE DISH FILLED WITH WATER ON BOTTOM OF DISH. COVER WITH PLASTIC WRAP WITH A SMALL SLIT IN WRAP . MICROWAVE FOR 2 MINUTES.

REMOVE THE PEPPERS INTO A BAKING DISH, FILL WITH MEAT MIXTURE.

ADD EXTRA TOMATO SAUCE IF DESIRED; ADD MOZZERELLA CHEESE

BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN (375 DEGREES) FOR 5 MINUTES
