Police are investigating why a resident from an assisted living center was found dead outside apparently from the frigid conditions.
Shirly Galvin's body was found outside of the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Springfield Township.
Police say she wasn't dressed for the cold weather. They believe she walked outside, and minutes later the facility locked its doors.
The coroner is expected to announce a cause of death later today. Police don't believe foul play is involved.
The discovery is the second of the day after two students found the body of an older man in a wooded area near a Tri-State school. Click here to read that story.
