A 40-year-old school bus driver is facing sex charges involving a 16-year-old high school student.

Police say that Andrew Grabow is in jail and charged with eight counts of Use of a minor in a sexual performance.  Police say he and the student had sex several times.

According to police, none of Grabow's encounters happened on school property.

Police are also calling in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigators on the possiblity that the images were shared across international borders.  Police apparently learned of the encounters from rumors that spread in December.

If convicted, Grabow faces a maximum 10 years in prison.

The following is from the Boone County Sheriff's Department's spokesman Tom Scheben.

On Thursday, January 25, 2007 at approximately 4:00 p.m. a Florence, Kentucky man was arrested for his involvement in having sexual relations with a minor.

Andrew Grabow, 40 of Florence, was charged with eight (8) counts of Use of a minor in a sexual performance and lodged in the Boone County Detention Center  under a $100,000 bond.  Grabow, a Boone County school bus driver, had sex with a sixteen (16) year old, tenth grade, Ryle High School student numerous times.  None of the aforementioned occurred on school property (including the bus).

Investigators first learned of the rumors that the two - driver & student - were involved in the last week of December, 2006.  The investigation continues in conjunction with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on the possibility images were sent overseas.  Use of a minor in a sexual performance is a Class C felony punishable by five (5) to ten (10) years in the penitentiary.
